Henry’s Last Night

society, culture, documentary · EN

In the early hours of a rainy night in late November 1957, a car carrying four U.S. airmen crashed off-base near Charleston Air Force Base. Two men died including nineteen-year-old A/2C Henry Joshua Hancock. Two months later, his daughter was born. Henry’s Last Night follows her decades-long investigation into what actually happened—to try to reconstruct a single night. The series is not a chase for villains; it is an act of reclamation, asking who Henry was, why no inquiry was ever made, and what it costs a family to live for decades inside an absence with no clear shape.
