Welcome to On the Fly, the podcast for anyone who’s ever tried to juggle work, kids, rep sports, marriage, health, cultural identity, and somehow still remember where they left their wallet. Hosted by Jason Shawana and Theresa Gillis, this is real-life parenting through the lens of a bicultural family doing their best to figure it out… well… on the fly. With humour, honesty, and zero pretension, Jason and Theresa open the door to the everyday realities of modern adulthood: • The chaos of rep sports weekends • The logistics of blended schedules and blended families • The emotional weight of raising kids in two cultures • The never-ending quest for balance, connection, and a full night of sleep • And the moments in marriage where you lock eyes and both whisper, “Are we doing this right?”Each episode blends relatable storytelling with meaningful conversations about identity, family dynamics, health, and the learning curves of being an adult in today’s world.
