Search Suspended

history · EN

Every story in this show has the same shape. Something goes wrong in a place with no help in it. People look, and then they stop looking. And then someone walks out anyway. Search Suspended is about the part that usually gets cut — the wrong search grid, the missing escape ladder, the radio call that put rescuers five hundred miles from the wreck. These are not stories about extraordinary people. Most of them say so themselves. They are stories about what it actually takes to survive the gap between when the search ends and when somebody comes home. Ten episodes. A girl who fell two miles into the Amazon. A ship crushed by the Weddell Sea. Thirty-three men under a Chilean mountain. A cook in an air pocket at the bottom of the Atlantic. From Rogue Media Network.
