American Pit Bull explores the history, psychology, working ability, controversies, and enduring cultural legacy of one of America’s most recognizable and misunderstood dogs. From its roots in the bull-and-terrier dogs of Britain to its development on American farms and its transformation into a cultural symbol, each episode examines a different piece of the pit bull story. We’ll separate documented history from mythology while exploring temperament, breeding, training, genetics, famous bloodlines, working dogs, public perception, and the complicated relationship between humans and the American Pit Bull Terrier.
