In Groundwork of the Christian Virtues, Bishop William Bernard Ullathorne, a distinguished Benedictine monk and Roman Catholic priest, shares his profound insights into the essence of virtue. Having served in Australia and later as the Bishop of Birmingham, Ullathorne draws upon his extensive experience to present a compelling case for humility as the cornerstone of all virtues. This enlightening work unfolds across sixteen lectures, exploring the interplay of the three theological virtues—faith, hope, and charity—and the four cardinal virtues—prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. Ullathorne skillfully illustrates how these virtues guide us in nurturing a deeper relationship with God and embodying a virtuous life in our daily practices. (Introduction by dave7)
