Heart to Heart Adoption Stories

kids, family, parenting · EN

For more than 25 years, Donna Pope has sat with people in the hardest and most sacred moments of their lives: birth mothers choosing adoption for their child, couples who waited years to become parents, and adoptees searching for the people they came from. Many of them carry a story they have not been asked to tell.Heart to Heart Adoption Stories is built on a simple idea, that the people inside adoption are the ones who can speak for it. Each week, Donna sits down with birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive families and lets them tell it the way it happened: joy and grief, reunion and rejection, the phone call that changed everything and the waiting that came before it.Donna is a licensed clinical counselor and the Executive Director of a licensed adoption agency, and she brings trauma-informed care to the conversation. If you are somewhere in the middle of an adoption journey, or starting to wonder if one is yours to walk, there is a place for you here.New episodes every week,
