If I Were Neither Jewish nor Israeli, A Moral Reckoning with Israel and Palestine

history · EN-US

I was born in Israel, the son of Holocaust survivors, and later served as an IDF soldier. For most of my life, I believed the history I had been taught about Israel and Palestine. Then I began looking more closely.Through family memory, my own experiences, and Israeli archival records, this four-part series examines the history I was never taught, the Palestinian experience that was largely absent from my education, and what I call the “transfer of suffering.”Based on my essay, If I Were Neither Jewish nor Israeli: A Moral Reckoning with Israel and Palestine.
