This podcast explores some of the concepts and challenges featured in the book of the same title which was released in March 2026. Dr Tara Webster-Deakin, the author, and her colleague, Dr Charlie Davis, discuss the pitfalls and possibilities of action research, professional university staff roles and status, and collaborative approaches to tackling contemporary issues in HE such as widening participation. The podcast aims to give a flavour of the tone and focus of the book, while bringing wider work and research in the social justice sphere into the conversation.
