history, religion, spirituality, news, politics · EN

Dive into a fascinating collection of shorter works from the early decades of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often referred to as Mormons. This anthology features three pivotal writings from the prophet Joseph Smith, Jr., which bookend the exploration of his history, theology, and political thoughts. The journey begins with Orson Pratts examination of the Prophets validity, followed by foundational doctrines from Morgan and Wilson, and moves into apologetics by Smith, Pratt, Whitney, and Talmage. Concluding with insightful discussions on governance—both within the church and in wider society—from Taylor, Pratt, and Smith, this compilation offers a rich tapestry of early Mormon thought. - Summary by James Bleckley This show includes AI-generated content.
