Victorian Student’s Exam Tragedy

arts, books · EN

My name is Merry Chris Martinez, and in this podcast segment I portray a dramatic 19th-century Victorian student experiencing a modern academic struggle. In this performance, I express the frustration and exhaustion of studying all night without sleep, only to discover that none of the topics I reviewed appeared on the exam. Using a formal British tone and Victorian-style vocabulary, I dramatize the emotions of shock, despair, and disbelief. Sound effects such as a heavy book thud and crumpling papers are included to emphasize the melodramatic atmosphere and make the scene more vivid and engaging.
