The Whistler Podcast With Your Host Mel

fiction, drama, true crime · EN

Welcome, Friends of Old Time Radio! I’m your host, Mel, and in this podcast I’ll be sharing episodes of The Whistler, along with fascinating facts about the show—its writers, production, and the radio stars who helped make it one of the top-rated mystery series of its era (1942–1955). As a bonus, I’ll also highlight what was happening in the world at the time each episode originally aired—from politics and headlines to top movies and popular music. Some of my podcast releases are Binge Blocks—hours of back-to-back episodes, perfect for long drives, night shifts, study sessions, or late-night coding. Thanks for listening. If you’re enjoying the show, a 5-star rating and a short review really help the channel.
