history, arts, books, science, social · EN

Join us on an exhilarating voyage as we recount the Arctic Expedition of 1875, which set sail from England on May 29 and bravely navigated through tumultuous storms across the Atlantic. Entering the icy embrace of the Arctic on July 4, the crew of the HMS Alert embarked on a mission to reach the highest northern latitude and, if fortune favored them, the North Pole. This captivating narrative chronicles their exploration of the Baffin Sea and the uncharted territories of northern Greenland.
