In his Ecclesiastical History, Eusebius reveals that alongside his renowned work Against Heresies, St. Irenaeus authored A Discourse in Demonstration of the Apostolic Preaching. This significant piece had been lost to history until it recently surfaced in an Armenian manuscript, found alongside Books IV and V of his larger work. The Armenian translation closely mirrors the original Greek text. In this compelling work, Irenaeus meticulously outlines the core tenets of the Apostolic message—an enduring truth passed down through the succession of bishops and consistent across the globe. He aims to validate this message particularly through the sacred scriptures of the Old Testament. - Summary from Preface
