Your kid has the grades, the team, the schedule, and cannot sleep. You are doing everything right and feel like you are failing anyway. Beyond Perfect Parenting is for the parent who is running on empty in a culture that grades you on your child's résumé. Dr. Maggie Vaughan, MFT, PhD, is a couples and family therapist and founder of Happy Apple NYC, an award-winning Manhattan practice specializing in anxiety, depression, and relationships. After nearly two decades of watching performance pressure fracture families, she wrote Beyond Perfect (Wiley) and built the FIRE approach to replace pressure with connection, the strongest predictor of adult happiness. Featured by The New York Times, CNBC, HuffPost, and BBC Radio, she is non-judgmental, research-backed, and done with the guilt.
