Within and Without: The History of The Great Gatsby’s Dust Jacket is a podcast about one of the most famous book covers of all time — and why it still matters. University of Alberta graduates Katie O'Connor and Olivia O'Neill dive into the story behind the dust jacket of F. Scott Fitzgerald's seminal 1925 novel, exploring how a single image has shaped the way readers understand one of the most important texts of all time. Along the way, they interview literary scholars, examine the tragedy and triumph of Fitzgerald’s life, talk a lot about high school English classes, and conduct on-site archival research at Princeton University to uncover how art, publishing, and literary history intersect.
