My War Experiences in Two Continents

history, science, social, society, culture, personal · EN

Join Sarah Macnaughtan, a passionate Scottish novelist and suffragist, as she shares her remarkable journey across two continents during times of conflict. From her early work with the Red Cross in the Second Boer War to her tireless efforts aiding the impoverished in Londons East End, Sarahs commitment to humanitarian causes is truly inspiring. When World War I erupted in 1914, she volunteered once more, this time in Belgium, where she served in a field hospital. Her path then took her to Russia, Armenia, and Persia, where her dedication never wavered, even in the face of illness. This poignant account, crafted from her diary by her niece, offers a deeply personal glimpse into the trials and triumphs of a woman who lived through extraordinary times.
