In Directory of the Devout Life, we are reminded that the core truths of Christianity and their accompanying doctrines must remain at the forefront of our lives. We cannot simply proclaim Lord, Lord; we must actively live out His teachings. True obedience is only possible through the Cross and the Holy Spirit, as we seek to be reconciled and filled with His presence. The Sermon on the Mount transforms before our eyes when viewed through the lens of Christs later life and teachings. Each line of this beautiful discourse sparkles with divine insight and resonates with the essence of the Gospel. Join us as we delve into the profound lessons found in Matthew chapters five, six, and seven. F. B. Meyer, a noted Baptist preacher and contemporary of D. L. Moody, guides us through this spiritual journey.
