Coming of the Fairies

history, religion, spirituality · EN

After enduring a series of heartbreaking losses in his family, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle sought solace in spiritualism, hoping to uncover proof of an afterlife. His openness to the mystical led him to believe in the existence of spirits and supernatural beings, including fairies. This conviction intensified when he encountered the controversial photographs taken by the Cottingley girls, which he championed as evidence of these ethereal entities. In this fascinating exploration, Doyle presents his perspective on the phenomenon, despite the eventual revelation that the photographs were a clever hoax.
