Local Roots Podcast

business, entrepreneurship · EN-US

Local Roots is a new podcast dedicated to the real stories behind the small businesses that power our communities. Each interview takes place at Coaches Cigar Lounge in Tomball, Texas—a dimly lit, quiet setting that creates the perfect atmosphere for in-depth conversations over handcrafted cigars. Hosted by Nick Childs, a business broker who has spent the last 10 years selling Commercial Real Estate, Main Street, and Lower Middle Market businesses, this show goes beyond surface-level success stories. Each episode pulls back the curtain on what it truly takes to build, run, and sustain a local business—giving you a front row seat to gain knowledge and access to the entrepreneurs who shape our communities around us each day. So pull up a chair, settle in, and enjoy the conversation—Because like a well-crafted cigar, these stories unfold with time.
