Captain Jim

fiction, history, society, culture · EN

Join Norah Linton, her brother Jim, their father David, and Jims Australian friend Wally as they embark on a heartfelt journey during World War I. When tragedy strikes the family with the death of an Irish friend, Norah inherits a grand house in Surrey—Homewood. To honor their friends memory, they transform this residence into a sanctuary for Tired People soldiers recovering from injuries or those on leave without a place to call home. As Jim and Wally answer the call to fight, Norah and her father are left to nurture and support these weary heroes, providing them a refuge in the countryside where they can rejuvenate and return to the front lines renewed and ready.
