The Christian Jung: Contemplative Prayer and the Depths of the Soul

religion, spirituality, christianity, society, culture, philosophy · EN-US

Christian contemplation meets the depths of the soul. The Christian Jung is a podcast about contemplative prayer, the Christian mystics, and the inner life, hosted by Angela Meer, an ordained minister with graduate degrees in Jungian studies. Each episode draws from Scripture, the Desert Fathers and Mothers, saints like Teresa of Ávila and John of the Cross, and Carl Jung's map of the psyche to help you meet God in silence, in dreams, and in the hidden places of the heart. Theology leads, and psychology serves. You'll find practices you can actually pray, like the Jesus Prayer, Lectio Divina, Visio Divina, and praying with your dreams, along with honest teaching on shadow, healing, and discernment.
