How to be a Wonderful Counselor

kids, family, parenting · EN-US

When someone you love is hurting, you don’t need a master’s degree in counseling psychology to comfort, guide, and inspire—even if that someone is you. The Book of Mormon is filled with powerful scriptures that can strengthen both your mental health and your spiritual health. This channel will help you learn how to comfort those who stand in need of comfort. I share the best of my 30 years of professional counseling experience, distilled into a simple, practical method called C-A-L-M. You’ll learn how to listen with compassion, use AI carefully as a research assistant, and find powerful scriptures that can become lifelines in difficult moments—scriptures you can keep “in your back pocket” when you or someone you love is struggling. Because ultimately, this channel is about learning to become a Wonderful Counselor—like our Savior, Jesus Christ.
