Welcome to Happy Making, a podcast that celebrates the messy, magical, and deeply human side of creativity. Hosted by Travis Bumgarner, Happy Making dives into the real stories behind what drives people to make things from the sparks of inspiration and the grind of creative blocks to the breakthroughs that make it all worth it. Travis’s journey began a decade ago in a Boston makerspace, a communal workshop where creative folks of all interests and backgrounds shared the same tables, tools, and latenight ideas. There, he learned that creativity thrives when curiosity is encouraged, not crushed, and when everyone, no matter their skill level, is welcomed to explore. Each episode carries that spirit forward, inviting listeners to hobby vicariously, discover what fuels other makers, and embrace the love of making. Whether you’re deep into a project or just wondering what it means to start, this podcast opens the door wide and says, “Come on in.”
