Unsolicited Dance Advice by Audrey De Bry, Smart Dancers Academy

health, fitness, arts, performing · EN

The number one podcast for critical dancers who want answers.I am Audrey De Bry, sports physiotherapist and former professional dancer. Every Wednesday I take a piece of dance advice everyone repeats and nobody questions, and I tell you why it is not helping you, and what actually would.Expect strong opinions, real reasoning, and the occasional rant about a culture that trains dancers to ignore their bodies for fifteen years and then tells them to listen to them. Expect stories from close to ten years of working with professional dancers. Expect no injury-prevention lectures and no "just rest it." Mostly, expect to be treated like someone smart enough to handle the actual answer. For dancers who are tired of nodding along. The science serves the art.
