In the premiere episode of Aquí y Allá / Here and There: Art, Memory, and Cultural Preservation Across Borders, host Dr. Martina Ayala welcomes artist, educator, filmmaker, fashion designer, and cultural storyteller Eugene Rodriguez for a powerful conversation on art, memory, identity, and belonging. Together, they explore the role of Chicano and Latine artists in preserving cultural memory, documenting community histories, and creating work that speaks across generations and borders. Rodriguez reflects on his creative journey, the importance of storytelling, and the ways art can serve as both archive and act of cultural resistance.
