The Maintenance Report

arts, fashion, beauty, society, culture, documentary · EN

A dry weekly briefing on aging, appearance, and self-maintenance, and the increasingly ridiculous things women are asked to believe about staying visible. Reporting, not routines. Each episode: one lead story from the culture of female visibility, one claim women were asked to believe this week, read verbatim and taken apart, and one dispatch from the host's own maintenance life. About fifteen minutes. Same day, same time. Reporting from the beauty beat, for women who can already see through the industry and are tired of being addressed as either a problem to fix or a demographic to flatter. Hosted by Ayana of Operation Get Hot.
