Ash Flake in a Blizzard

ASH FLAKE IN A BLIZZARD sits somewhere between a memoir, a short story collection, and a stack of letters between close friends. It's about the stories we inherit whether we want to or not, the identities imposed on us, and the ones we build for ourselves. It's a series of snapshots, postcards from a thousand hills to the Ardennes… not mere locations, but their echoes, their scars, their hearts. It's also a life distilled into words. From military service, fatherhood, collapse, and reconstruction, Gabriel revisits the moments that made him and traces the path to what nearly unmade him.Told with humor, tenderness, and intimacy, this story isn't afraid to interrogate its own narrator, to demand the raw truth, however uncomfortable. ASH FLAKE IN A BLIZZARD chronicles one life among billions, insignificant from a distance and impossibly intricate up close.
