spiritface2face originated as an expressive college project through my internship at the Jackson Social Justice Legacy Scholarship. Prior to spiritface2face emerging, I embarked on my healing journey at the start of the pandemic to save my life and sanity. I have always been a deeply passionate person as it pertains to the rights of all people and a belief in true justice for the oppressed people around the world. As a deeply empathic individual, it took a lot of patience, forgiveness, endurance, release, support, and inner resourcefulness to be able to revive my spiritual agency the way I have. It is a continuous practice that I consciously engage with. I have experienced rebirth into new versions of myself with deeper compassion for myself and the world around me. Through my spiritual practice, I have felt immense guilt, shame, sorrow, and depletion for the ways in which I can afford to do this work and for the ways many suffer at the hands of imperialism and othering.
