In this captivating paper presented to the Literary and Historical Society in Quebec, Fletcher systematically unveils what he believes to be compelling evidence for the existence of the legendary island of Atlantis. He begins by exploring historical references to Atlantis found in ancient texts, even those regarded purely as myths (Part 1). He then delves into linguistic features that may hint at an Atlantean origin (Part 2) and draws intriguing connections between American and European fossil flora and amber fauna, positing that Atlantis could be the crucial missing link (Part 3). Concluding with insights from deep-sea soundings of the Atlantic Ocean and other geological discoveries (Part 4), Fletcher also includes his evocative poem, The Lost Island, as Part 5 of this enthralling audiobook. - Summary by Rapunzelina
