Snapshots of WWII: Sisters Explore Their Grandfather’s Legacy What if one faded military report could uncover an entire forgotten journey through World War II? In Snapshots of WWII, sisters Amanda and Jenne retrace the footsteps of their grandfather, Malcolm Moersch, a medic in the 357th Infantry Regiment of the legendary 90th Infantry Division “Tough Ombres.” Using original Army minute reports, wartime documents, photographs, memoirs, and expert interviews, each episode follows the real movements, battles, and experiences of the medics who lived through the war — beginning with their grandfather’s departure from Camp Kilmer in March 1944 and continuing through England, Normandy, and beyond. Along the way, they uncover hidden history, emotional family connections, forgotten military sites, and the untold stories of the medics who carried more than their own weight during some of the deadliest battles of World War II.
