history, arts, books, performing · EN

Join Captain St. Hill Brock in this captivating exploration of pyrotechnics, where he takes us on a journey from the ancient origins of fireworks in the East to their modern-day applications. In Part I, discover the rich history behind this vibrant art form, while Part II offers an in-depth look at the intricate processes involved in firework manufacturing. The narrative also pays tribute to his brother, Wing-Commander Frank Arthur Brock, R.N.A.S., who tragically lost his life at Zeebrugge on April 23rd, 1918. As Captain Brock states, My aim is not to create a textbook on firework-making but to illuminate the arts evolution and craftsmanship. With a lineage of eight generations of pyrotechnists, this volume adds a unique perspective to the literature of fireworks. - Summary by Larry Wilson
