For the Love of Local

Local change is where real change happens. For the Love of Local is a podcast about the people, partnerships, and ideas shaping the future of our communities. Hosted by leadership development expert Troy Riggs (Riggs Ventures) and communication strategist Krisa De La Cruz (Chaparral Creative), each episode features authentic conversations with the leaders who are actually doing the work on the ground — city managers, nonprofit directors, local government innovators, mission-driven founders, and more. This is a space for honest dialogue. No national noise. No empty theory. Just real stories, real solutions, and real impact — at the level where people live and work. Whether you serve in a city, work in a nonprofit, lead a team, or simply care about stronger communities, this show is for you. Because meaningful change starts local. And it’s worth fighting for.
