Arcadia Mayor Spy Watch is a short daily briefing on the federal foreign-agent prosecution of former Arcadia, California mayor Eileen Wang, who was charged under 18 U.S.C. Section 951 with acting as an illegal agent of the People's Republic of China and has signed a plea agreement to plead guilty. Each episode tracks the case posture: the DOJ Office of Public Affairs announcement, the charging information, the plea agreement on the public docket, the change-of-plea hearing, and the sentencing schedule out of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. We also cover the related and already-resolved case against Yaoning 'Mike' Sun, the former campaign manager and former fiance who pleaded guilty in October 2025 and is serving a four-year federal sentence, and the U.S. News Center website that the government says the two operated at PRC direction to spread Chinese government propaganda to the Chinese-American community.
