In the heart of San Francisco, Leon Hamar and his desperate friends find themselves out of work and on the brink of starvation after their company collapses. When Leon trades his last possession, a watch-chain, for a mysterious book and some cash, he never intended to read it. But curiosity gets the better of him, and he uncovers a tale of Atlantis and its ancient society of sorcerers. The book not only recounts their history but also provides detailed instructions for initiation into the dark arts. With little to lose and perhaps their very survival at stake, the friends embark on a journey into the unknown, unaware that the consequences of their choices will be far beyond their wildest imaginations. - Summary by Don W.
