Join Roberta, Peter, and Phyllis as their comfortable lives are turned upside down when they are relocated to the countryside with their mother, forced to play at being poor. Will they ever indulge in the luxury of bread with both butter and jam again? Why does their mother seem so absorbed in her writing? And what has become of their father? The Railway Children, one of Edith Nesbits cherished classics, has inspired five films and a musical. This heartwarming tale of three children who forge friendships and strive to do good—despite their occasional missteps—captures the essence of childhood innocence without the need for magic. Experience the warmth of Nesbits storytelling through this delightful adaptation. - Summary by Beth Thomas and Wikipedia
