Overbooked & Underpaid

Welcome to Overbooked & Underpaid—a podcast for readers who know there are far too many books and never enough time (or money) to keep up! Inspired by Emily McHugh’s sentiment, we may not get paid to read, but we’d do it anyway—because diving into stories, sharing our thoughts, and connecting with fellow readers is reward enough. What started as a fantasy-focused book club has grown into something bigger. We explore a wide range of genres, celebrating great stories wherever we find them and opening the conversation to readers of all kinds.Expect honest reactions, lively discussions, and plenty of laughs—along with the occasional moment that might make you cringe. We’re adults, sure—but we’re adults who still believe in the magic of books and the worlds they create.
