No one is better equipped to share the rich tapestry of Greenlands stories than Knud Rasmussen. With his own Eskimo heritage and a childhood spent in Greenland, he returned time and again to explore its vast, icy landscapes. His expeditions not only garnered him accolades from esteemed societies but also allowed him to immerse himself in the lives and traditions of the Eskimo people. Through his remarkable work, he captures the essence of their daily lives, beliefs, and the intricate spirit world that forms the foundation of their mythology. While his scientific findings add to our collective knowledge, it is through these enchanting tales that we gain a deeper understanding of Eskimo culture in a way that transcends academic study. (W.
