These skills awarded him the honor of being named the 2004 freestyle champion for The Source Magazine Unsigned Hype/AND 1 Mix tape series as well as being crowned by DJ Bigga Rankins of Cool Runnings/ Hittmenn DJs as “Freestyle King”, due to an array of battle victories. Both, an accomplished Songwriter, Producer and self taught musical dynamo,Peedi was fortunate to have a seat at the head of the class as he was mentored by many industry heavy weights including Professor Griff of the group, Public Enemy, and Mr. Mixx of The 2 Live Crew.
