The Last Good Decision

society, culture · EN

In the worst moments, survival can come down to a single decision. The Last Good Decision tells true stories of people caught in disasters, accidents, extreme environments, failed expeditions, and situations where the margin between survival and tragedy became frighteningly small. Each episode follows the chain of choices that shaped what happened next. Why did someone keep moving instead of waiting? Why abandon shelter, turn back, ration water, follow a river, or trust a seemingly impossible escape route? And which decisions actually mattered most?Through careful research and immersive storytelling, the series explores human judgment under pressure, the limits of the body and mind, rescue efforts, unexpected mistakes, and the role luck often plays when every option is bad. These are not stories about perfect heroes making perfect choices. They are stories about ordinary people trying to make one more good decision when almost everything has already gone wrong.
