Sicilia: A History for the Children of the Diaspora and Anyone Else Who Likes a Good Story

history, society, culture · EN

This is a storytelling podcast that brings the history of Sicilia to life for families around the world. Created especially for the children and grandchildren of Sicilian migrants, this podcast explores the island their ancestors left behind — from ancient thinkers like Archimedes in Siracusa, to Arab gardens, Norman rulers, village traditions, and the great waves of migration. Each episode is short, engaging, and family-friendly — designed to spark curiosity, connection, and belonging. It’s not just about dates and invasions. It’s about identity. About discovering where we came from. About giving the next generation a story they can call their own. Whether you’re Sicilian by blood, by marriage, or simply by fascination, this is history told as it should be — human, vivid, and meant to be shared.
