Delve into the literary masterpiece of Charles Simeon, whose monumental work, published in 1832, spans twenty-one large octavo volumes under the title Horae Homileticae. This extraordinary collection serves as a comprehensive commentary on every book of the Old and New Testament, featuring discourses primarily structured as outlines or Skeletons. While its true that these volumes are long out of print, they remain a treasure trove of insights and practical suggestions for communicating the messages of Scripture effectively. Simeons works include fully developed discourses, such as several sets of University Sermons, alongside a vast array of concise, well-organized outlines that guide readers in their biblical exposition. Despite the unfortunate term Skeleton, which drew the ire of critics, these summaries are anything but lifeless; they are the foundational frameworks from which Simeon himself crafted powerful sermons. He dedicated himself to teaching his students how to breathe life
