religion, spirituality, christianity · EN

On June 27th, 2001 Pope St-John Paul II beatified 27 martyrs in Lviv, Ukraine. All died in communist controlled countries- except for one. By God’s Grace, in 1972, after three years of imprisonment and torture, Blessed Bishop Vasyl Velychkovsky, was exiled. While in exile a fellow Redemptorist priest, Metropolitan Hermaniuk of Canada, invited him to come to Winnipeg. Less than a year later he fell asleep in the Lord at Misericordia Hospital on June 30th, 1973, in Winnipeg. This podcast explores how in life, in ministry, and even in death Blessed Bishop Vasyl Velychkovsky is a witness to the united Body of Christ and what this charism does for others.
