The Men I Knew is an intimate audio memoir spanning the 1980s to the 2000s. Emma, a sharp and self-aware Northern narrator, looks back at the men who shaped her - the first love who saw her completely, the boy with the borrowed car, the bohemian who wanted to mould her, the posh boy glimpsed on holiday. Each episode tells the story of one man: who he was, what she wanted, what she learned, and what she carried forward. This is memoir as it's actually lived - not neat lessons but accumulating understanding, told with warmth, honesty, and wry humour. Literary storytelling for listeners who love Sally Rooney, Rachel Cusk, and Dolly Alderton. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
