People of the Black Circle is a captivating novella featuring Conan the Cimmerian, penned by the legendary American author Robert E. Howard. First published in three installments in Weird Tales magazine in September, October, and November of 1934, this tale transports readers to the adventurous Hyborian Age. The story unfolds as Conan embarks on a daring quest to rescue a regal princess of Vendhya (an ancient India) and thwart the sinister ambitions of the Black Seers of Yimsha, who are bent on world domination. Celebrated for its grand narrative and unique Hindustan influences, this story is hailed as one of the definitive classics of Conan lore and is frequently recognized by Howard scholars as one of his finest works. Notably, it offers a rare glimpse into the depths of magic and the arcane, moving beyond the typical portrayals of sorcery in the Hyborian tales.
