First Century Message to Twentieth Century Christians

religion, spirituality, christianity · EN

G. Campbell Morgan, a prominent evangelical preacher of his time, began his journey in preaching at just 13 years old. By 26, he was already imparting wisdom at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. In 1904, he returned to England to serve as the pastor of Westminster Chapel in London. A contemporary and close friend of notable figures like Martyn Lloyd-Jones, F. B. Meyer, and Charles Spurgeon, Morgans insights are timeless. In this thought-provoking work, he delves into the letters addressed to the seven churches of Asia featured in the book of Revelation. Despite the passage of over 1900 years, the challenges and temptations faced by those early believers resonate with the struggles of modern churches. Morgan powerfully illustrates how Jesus messages to these ancient congregations are still relevant today. Does your church stand in Jesus favor, or does it need to heed His call for repentance and a return to authentic worship? (Introduction by MaryAnn)
