Alice’s Adventures Underground by Lewis Carroll is the original handwritten version of the story that would later become Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Shorter, more intimate, and more direct than the published novel, it offers listeners a fascinating glimpse into the earliest form of one of the most imaginative classics in English literature. The story follows Alice as she tumbles down a rabbit hole and enters a strange underground world filled with impossible creatures, absurd conversations, curious rules, and unexpected transformations. Along the way, she meets unforgettable characters, including the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and other eccentric figures who challenge her sense of logic at every turn. What makes Alice’s Adventures Underground especially interesting is its closeness to Lewis Carroll’s original storytelling voice. The work feels playful, spontaneous, and dreamlike, preserving the charm of a tale first created to entertain a child bef
