The failed convention hall of fame. Tanacon. Fyre Fest. That one NFT convention that used medical grade UV blacklights and gave a bunch of people sunburns on their eyeballs. And, of course, Dashcon. We watched from behind our screens as they crashed and burned spectacularly. Now, 10 years later, a group of Torontonians have set out to achieve the impossible: a successful Tumblr convention. Return To The Ballpit: A Dashcon 2 Podcast follows the team (totally different people from Dashcon 1, by the way!!) putting together the convention equivalent of The Torment Nexus from the novel Don’t Create The Torment Nexus. Will July 5th, 2025 be the start of a new era of fandom geekery, or will the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre become a biohazard? Veteran Tumblrina O Stecina gives you a backstage pass to the almost instantaneously sold out do-over to end all do-overs. In homestuck cosplay.
