Welcome to Sit Down With the Shoes, presented by ILSportsWire. Behind the Shoes takes you beyond the box scores and into the personal stories of the players, coaches, and staff who make up the Springfield Horseshoes of the Prospect League. Throughout the season, we'll sit down with members of the organization to learn about their baseball journeys, the challenges they've faced, the moments that shaped their careers, and what it means to represent one of the Prospect League's most storied franchises. From hometown roots and collegiate experiences to professional aspirations, we'll bring you closer to the people behind the game. Whether you're a longtime Horseshoes fan or discovering the team for the first time, this podcast offers a unique look at the individuals who wear the Horseshoes uniform and help make summer baseball in Springfield special.
