Wax and Wane: A Post-Punk Journey

music · EN

It was never a phase. Join Gianna for Wax and Wane, a two-hour deep dive into the best of post-punk, new wave, and beyond. Inspired by the Cocteau Twins song of the same name, this show is a testament to the enduring power of these genres. Gianna curates a high-energy mix of 80s new wave hits for the first hour before winding down with a more mellow, yet equally powerful, second half. Tune in to hear iconic artists like Depeche Mode, The Cure, and The Smiths. Whether you're a lifelong fan or new to the sound, Wax and Wane delivers the perfect blend of classics and personal favorites. Catch it on Pirate Cat Radio—KPCR 92.9 FM Los Gatos, KMRT 101.9 FM Santa Cruz, and KVBE 91.1 FM Portland.
