Bones

history · EN

Bones tells the true stories written in human remains. Each episode, host Nirob takes one famous find — the Iceman found melting out of an alpine glacier, a plague pit unearthed beneath a London street, a king discovered under a city car park, the mass graves of a battle and a frozen army, the body of a girl in the ruins of a starving colony — and rebuilds it: the moment of the discovery, the scientists who examined the remains, the clues the bones carried, and the truth about the life and the death that they finally told. From the oldest murder in the world to the forensic science that identifies the missing soldiers of a modern war, Bones is the story of the dead and of the living who read them. Meticulously researched, clear about the science of osteology and archaeology, and honest about the difference between the stories we tell about the dead and the evidence the bones themselves provide. Clean and suitable for all ages. A new find every week
